Corridor
2016 – "Lobby", Hayarkon 19; curator: Hila Cohen-Schneiderman

A plaster corridor crosses the space of the 19 HaYarkon Gallery. It enables a view of the sea to homes in which the seascape view had been expropriated for the benefit of a hotel construction.

As one stands near the eastern wall on the second floor of the 19 HaYarkon Gallery, there is but one single viewpoint from where one can see the sea. We mark a line that begins with a view from a window of an apartment building opposite to where a hotel has been constructed, penetrates through the window into the exhibition space, crosses it, and continues toward the sea. The act expropriates the area crossing the space and cancels its designation as an exhibition space. The two walls that delimit the area physically create the presence of the sea in favor of the buildings that the hotel building has blocked.
